Staying safe on SwapPilot

A few simple rules keep everyone safe. Read these before sending any message.

The golden rules

  • Never send money for a test swap. It's against our rules and may be illegal.
  • Never share your DVSA login details with anyone — not even other learners.
  • Never share bank details with another learner.
  • Any actual booking change happens directly through your own DVSA account.

How we protect you

  • Phone numbers and email addresses are never displayed publicly.
  • Secure in-app chat only opens after both learners accept a swap.
  • You can block or report any user inside the chat.
  • Reports are reviewed by our team.

Your chats are private

Secure chats are private between learners. SwapPilot admins do not read chats by default. If a conversation is reported, admins may review relevant message context to keep users safe.

SwapPilot is not DVSA

SwapPilot is independent and not affiliated with the DVSA, DVLA or any government body. We do not book, cancel or change tests — only DVSA can do that, and only through your own DVSA account.

Spot the warning signs

  • Anyone asking for money, gift cards or payment of any kind.
  • Anyone asking for your DVSA login, password or verification code.
  • Anyone pressuring you to move off SwapPilot to a private chat right away.
  • Anyone offering a "guaranteed" test date.

If you see any of these, use the Report button inside the chat.
